SW TECH NURSING TRIP
Penny Neal, along with Colleen Watters took Southwest Technical College nursing students to Haiti for the 5th year. Laurie Meighan, NP, joined the 8 nurses to round out the team. This energetic group accessed approximately 700 students over their 8 days. They saw children at all four of the S4H schools plus all of the children living in the two children's homes. The nurses and S4H want to express our appreciation to all who contributed to fund raisers, donated medications, flip flops, socks and underwear, to those who prayed and gave encouragement.
"Assessing 800+ kids during our time here seemed like a huge feat, but we did it!"
"Our laps and hearts were full today in church, also had coloring time with the children. Yet another amazing day in Haiti."
"I learned the importance of giving time and attention, not onlyto children, but really to anyone. How giving of yourself can make your heart full as well as helping fill others’ hearts
